Innovation Saskatchewan is hosting the first annual SPARK Night on November 14, 2017!


The focus for this year’s SPARK Night will be on health research.


The night will consist of:

  • Matchmaking & networking opportunities;
  • Research poster showcase; and
  • Keynote presentation.


This is a free event for university, polytechnic and institute researchers to attend. Complimentary food and drinks will be provided for all the attendees.

IS will be providing seed funding for 5 collaborative research proposals ($5,000 each) resulting from SPARK Night. Proposals put forth by groups of two or more researchers from different organizations (institutes or academic centres) will be eligible to compete for the 5 awards. Proponents must have been in attendance of the event to apply for the award


  • 5:30pm – Doors open: Networking, drinks and snacks
  • 6:00pm – Opening speech
  • 6:10pm – Keynote speaker: The value of collaborative research
  • 6:30pm – Matchmaking event (Researcher Speed Dating)
  • 7:30pm – Networking
  • 8:45pm – Closing speech
  • 9:00pm – Doors close


The event will be held at Louis Loft (93 Campus Drive, Saskatoon, SK).
